Taylor Swift fans took to social media to express their concern at seeing Jackson Mahomes standing behind the pop superstar at Sunday’s Kansas City Chiefs game, and claimed security ‘should be ashamed’ for letting it happen.

Swift’s whirlwind romance with NFL star Travis Kelce has dominated headlines over the past month, and she attended a fourth game in five weeks to watch him win – again – on Sunday evening.

Her fans, though, were dismayed to see Patrick Mahomes’ brother Jackson in the same VIP box, just two days before his hearing over three counts of aggravated sexual battery stemming from an incident in February.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one wrote: ‘I’m going to need someone to get her out of that box immediately. Jackson Mahomes is there.’

Another Taylor fan – and former star of The Bachelorette – Nick Viall added: ‘Chiefs security should be ashamed for letting Jackson Mahomes in the same room as Taylor Swift.’

A third, meanwhile, noted: ‘Putting Jackson Mahomes in the box with Taylor so he gets good coverage before his preliminary hearing for his SA case in TWO DAYS is so f***ing sinister.’

Mahomes, 23, is set to be in court on Tuesday for a preliminary hearing in the case, which is related to a February 25 incident in which he is alleged to have forcibly kissed a female bar owner, 40, in her office.

He faces three felony counts of aggravated sexual battery, as well as one further misdemeanor count of battery in an alleged assault of a male waiter at the same establishment.

Mahomes pleaded guilty to all charges and is free on $100,000 bond.

The preliminary hearing was initially scheduled for August, but got pushed back to October when the judge presiding over the case contracted Covid.

Taylor, meanwhile, seemed unfazed by Jackson’s presence in the box as she partied throughout the game and celebrated another impressive performance from her boyfriend, tight end Travis Kelce.

Swift had even concocted a personalized celebratory handshake with quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ wife Brittany, which the pair showed off after a touchdown. Patrick is the brother of social media influencer Jackson, which explains the latter’s presence in the suite at Arrowhead.

After the game, Taylor and Travis left the stadium together in his Rolls Royce – which the player got cleaned especially on Saturday – before heading back to his mansion for a party with their friends and family.

The evening was catered by a Kansas City BBQ joint, and shortly after Taylor and Travis arrived back at the property, they were joined by approximately 20 guests, who piled out of a red ‘party bus’.

The clan looked to be be toasting the Chiefs’ win and Kelce’s all-pro performance with some BBQ from Fiorella’s Jack Stack.
