GOLDEN State Warriors legend Steph Curry is etching his name in the history books once again.
After signing Sacramento Kings star point guard De’Aaron Fox to Curry Brand, the NBA’s all-time three-point leader became a first in league history, beating out Michael Jordan.

With Fox becoming the debut “signature athlete” to join Curry Brand, this officially marks the first time in league history that an active NBA player has signed another current player to a signature shoe deal under their own brand, per ESPN.
Fox and the two-time MVP talked to Malika Andrews on NBA Today about the signing.
Fox, who made his first All Star team last season, said: “I’m the very first Curry Brand athlete, and I’m extremely excited about the opportunity that he’s giving me.
“I want to take this obviously individually I want to continue to grow, but also I want to help his brand as well.
“It was a mutual respect and a mutual agreement that we have – we want to be able to grow this together.”
Curry then chimed in: “This is definitely a special occasion. I’ve been rocking Curry Brand/Under Armour since 2013 and Curry Brand’s been transitioned since 2020.
“But to be able to partner with somebody like D-Fox while we’re still competing, while we’re still battling.
“So for me, to be sitting next to him, to understand what this opportunity really means and allow him to take it and run with it is a dream come true for me because there’s no better guy than him.”
Curry also posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, writing: “SPLASH! The mission continues.…from 2020 when we launched, to this right here!
“Another step towards changing the game for good! Welcome to the Curry Brand fam @swipathefox. Let’s get it!”
Fox and the Kings started their season 1-0, defeating the Utah Jazz.
Meanwhile, Curry and the Warriors fell to the Phoenix Suns on NBA opening night.
Tonight, Curry and Fox showdown in Sacramento for a first-round rematch of last year’s playoffs.
Last year, the Warriors knocked off the Kings in seven games after they made the postseason for the first time since 2006.
