Director Steven Soderbergh’s 1998 movie, Out of Sight launched the careers of the stars of the movie, George Clooney and Jennifer Lopez. The film was a commercial success and received praise from audiences all over the world. “Jennifer and George couldn’t stand each other during filming. This was her first starring role and she’s a hard worker and didn’t appreciate his goofball behavior. She thinks George is a pompous jerk.”

“You know, you believe every minute when she picked up a gun, she might pull the trigger and blow your head off, and she was really good. She was wonderful in the film, and it’s funny because she’s had an amazing career, and gone on to do so many things, and sort of be an all-around entertainer, but I think if you look back, that’s a performance. That really stands out for her.”
Out of Sight was not a flop as it grossed over $77 million worldwide against its budget of $48 million. The movie also left a lasting impact on the crime film genre.
