It’s December 4 all over again. But the scenario is different. That day, social media was pissed at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. On this occasion, they are mad at the comments made by Jonathan Owens about how he came to know about his newlywed wife, Simone Biles.

Netizens can be fickle-minded. Their viewpoint can change with the flip of a button. They have directed their unquenchable anger toward Green Bay Packers‘ safety, Owens. Or, to phrase it more clearly, the internet is in uproar after he revealed that he had no clue who Simone Biles was before she texted him on Instagram.

Well, to be fair, living in the USA and not being aware of gold-medalist Olympic gymnasts is a tough pill to swallow. The 28-year-old tried his best to provide an answer on the Pivot Podcast, but the damage was done to those who consider Biles to be their icon.

But the last nail in the coffin was the revelation of Owens being the “catch,” dropped like an atom bomb. Since then, it has been an all-out war of trolls and tweets directed at him on all forms of social media. It caught a second wind when an X user shared a clip of Travis Kelce talking about his girlfriend, Taylor Swift.

It was after three straight Kansas City Chiefs wins, and recently, the All-Pro tight end discussed how he deals with paparazzi since starting to date the pop icon.

Well, you know the paparazzi taking photos from all over the place. But at the same time, it comes with, you know. There are a lot of people who care about Taylor, and for good reason.
