TNT sent social media into a frenzy during the Bucks-Celtics game.

NBA fans were left up in arms after TNT took the Milwaukee Bucks game off live TV as the team blew out the Boston Celtics on Thursday.

The Bucks knocked off the Celtics 135-102 on NBA on TNT but fans were left unable to watch part of the game after the network dipped out of the contest because of the large deficit.

The Celtics are one of the NBA’s best teams and they did not come to play on Thursday as the Bucks controlled the game throughout the contest.

Boston trailed 75-38 at halftime, and things didn’t get much better in the second half.

The Bucks’ lead eventually grew to nearly 40 points before TNT pulled the plug with 3:13 left in the third quarter.

However, when TNT attempted to switch to the Oklahoma City Thunder game against the Portland Trailblazers, that contest was a blowout as well.

And when they went to the Dallas Mavericks contest with the New York Knicks, that too was a large margin.

TNT’s Ernie Johnson hopped on the broadcast to explain what happened.

“So, this game is out of hand, obviously. 100-62 as the Celtics rest their starters for the rest of the night,” he said.

“So let’s see what’s happening in the rest of the league… And Oklahoma City, by the way, is up 36 at the half, so we’re not going there.

“So, we’ll try the Knicks and the Mavs, and it’s a 47-28 game but it’s close, then what’s going on in the mean streets (Milwaukee),” Johnson joked.

The decision to flex away from the game was slammed by some NBA fans online as they accused the network of trying to prevent the team with the best record in the NBA from getting “exposed.”

One fan wrote on X, formerly Twitter, “Pretty disrespectful to turn off the Bucks game in the middle when there’s no local broadcast.

“Would you do that for the Lakers or Warriors?”

Another fan fumed, “Put the bucks back on it’s not fair that we don’t get to watch because they’re playing GOOD.”

A third wrote, “Switch the bucks game back on!”

And a fourth said, “They didn’t want the Golden Boys of the NBA being shown on national TV getting blown out and exposed.”

The Bucks even tweeted at TNT, writing, “Wyd @NBAonTNT.”

The Bucks-Celtics broadcast eventually came back on in the fourth quarter before switching over to the network’s second game in the Los Angeles Lakers match against the Phoenix Suns.
