Johnson is now a free agent after playing in just six games for the Titans this season.

The Brooklyn native only joined up with Tennessee in May, spending time on both the active roster and practice squad.

He failed to nail down a regular starting spot, despite the team currently standing at a disappointing 3-7 on the NFL season.

Following news that he would be released, Johnson reportedly took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to criticize the decision.

Per USA Today, one of Johnson’s tweets read: “They so worried about tryna[sic] to fix the defense when we’re not the problem. F**king put the tape on and watch.”

He has since deleted the message, per the report.

Fans were quick to comment on Johnson’s outburst, with one writing: “Deleted tweets last foreverrrrrr.”

A second added: “I’m with him. Even though they haven’t been great the offense is the real problem this year.”

A third said: “I think he is kind of wrong. That defense is definitely lacking this year. Doesn’t mean the offense is consistent. I think the endless churning do the defensive line has been silly. Rudderless ship.”

Johnson was drafted in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings.

He has since played for six different NFL teams, making 125 total tackles and 6.5 sacks across his career.

Growing up, Johnson earned two letters as a heavyweight wrestler in high school.

He was a star defensive end in college for Iowa and has earned $5.9 million since making his NFL bow six years ago, per Spotrac.
