MEGHAN Markle’s New Year’s resolutions have resurfaced amid hopes for a “year of redemption”.

On January 1, 2016 – just six months before meeting Prince Harry – Meghan took to her now-defunct blog The Tig to share her resolutions.

Meghan wrote: “These make my New Year’s resolution list nearly (AKA actually every) single year. The swearing comes in lulls triggered by being overworked or feeling mighty cheeky after a couple drinks.

“And when it comes to the biting of the nails—well, it still happens with a turbulent flight or a stressful day. It’s unladylike. But then again, so is the swearing. Dammit.”

In the same blog post, the now Duchess of Sussex shared that she didn’t follow through with other resolutions of running a marathon and relearning French.

She wrote: “For this new year, the only thing I aim to do is to approach life playfully.

“To laugh and enjoy, to keep my standards high but my level of self-acceptance higher.

“My New Year’s resolution is to leave room for magic. To make my plans, and be okay if they sometimes break. To set my goals, but to be open to change. To let the magic know that there is an open door policy with me in 2016 and that it is always welcome to join the party.”

The post’s resurfacing comes after sources claimed that she and Prince Harry are hoping for a “year of redemption” after a tough 2023.

The couple received backlash for their Netflix documentary and Harry’s bombshell biography Spare, while donations to their Archewell Foundation dropped almost £9million in a year.

Meanwhile, the couple’s attacks on the Royal Family and their waning popularity have already resulted in a string of woes.

But the pair are looking at a fresh start for 2024 with rumours Meghan may get back into acting.

And it’s thought they may move home from Montecito to get themselves closer to Hollywood.

A source told US Weekly: “Harry and Meghan think 2024 will be the year of redemption” – with Meghan apparently turning down offers of work “left, right and centre” and Harry also in “extremely high demand”.

And Meghan has enlisted Beverly Hills talent agency William Morris Endeavour ahead of her long-planned relaunch in the New Year.

The source added: “They’ve actually been shocked by how popular she is. Her team has never seen anything like it.”

They claim she is being approached about everything from film roles to multi-million-dollar endorsement deals with major brands.

Reports of an acting comeback came after the duchess appeared in a playful Instagram ad for a coffee company, a firm she holds shares in.

The cameo appearance sees the former Suits star doing multiple roles at coffee company Clevr Blends, including packing, working on the digital team, and on the operations team.
