Although many view it as Mark Wahlberg’s grand entry into Hollywood, he appears determined to erase the memory from their minds.
One of the most regrettable moments in Mark Wahlberg’s entire career was being featured topless alongside Kate Moss in the iconic Calvin Klein ad. Despite his extensive work in movies and his brief venture into the rap scene, this particular advertisement stood out as a significant misstep to him. Interestingly, Moss, too, didn’t find the experience enjoyable, marking it as a shared regret in their respective careers.

Mark Wahlberg Felt Humiliated After Shooting the Famous Calvin Klein Ad
The actor Mark Wahlberg who was around 20-21 years of age, once did a Claven Klein ad with the British model Kate Moss, who was 17-18 at the time. The advertisement featured the two good-looking individuals topless. The actor sported nothing but underwear in some shots. Speaking about the shoot in Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, he revealed how regretful and humiliated he was by the photo shoot following its release. He said,
“I try to forget that too…I don’t think too many serious producers and directors would see that and say, ‘Well that guy looks like a serious actor. Maybe we’ll use him to walk by with his pants down.’”

Although many view that photo shoot as the actor’s grand entry into Hollywood, propelling Wahlberg into a soaring career at an early stage, the actor appears determined to erase this memory from their mind, a moment now seared into their consciousness.
Kate Moss Didn’t Enjoy the Photoshoot at All!
Right after the shoot hit the public eye, the model candidly opened up to Vanity Fair, baring her true feelings about the experience and recounting her journey of modeling topless alongside the actor. She said,
“I had a nervous breakdown when I was 17 or 18 when I had to go and work with Marky Mark and Herb Ritts. It didn’t feel like me at all. I felt really bad about straddling this buff guy. I didn’t like it. I couldn’t get out of bed for two weeks. I thought I was going to die.”

In response to Moss’ experience, the actor also shared his account of working with the model. He revealed to The Guardian,
“I never really had a problem with Kate, did I? I think I was probably a little rough around the edges. Kind of doing my thing. I wasn’t very … worldly, let’s say that. But I’ve seen her and said hello. I think we saw each other at a concert here and there, we said hi and exchanged pleasantries.”
Despite their responses suggesting no animosity, it was evident that none of the individuals engaged in the iconic photoshoot truly relished the experience.
