An Eastern Michigan football player has taken the word “sore loser” to an entirely new level.

Following a 59-10 blowout loss to Southern Alabama in the 68 Ventures Bowl, cameras from fans in the stands caught an Eastern Michigan player running back out onto the field to attack a Jaguars players from behind while the team celebrated the victory with their band.

The Eastern Michigan player appears to be wearing number five, meaning it’s either defensive back Korey Hernandez or tight end Max Reese. He was targeting Southern Alabama defensive back Jamarrian Burt during the altercation.

The Southern Alabama players were quick to come to their teammate’s defense, delivering some retributive justice before cooler heads eventually prevailed.

The Eastern Michigan responsible to sparking this brawl will undoubtedly be kicked off the team for his actions. There’s no place in sports for something like this.
