NBA legend LeBron James has left fans shocked after he jumped to his teammates defense in bold fashion on Thursday night.

It’s been a mixed week for Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis who received his fair share of criticism following their season opening 119-107 loss to the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday.

The eight time All-Star quickly rebounded, however, finishing Thursday’s 100-95 win over the Phoenix Suns with 30 points, twelve assists, and two rebounds.

And when faced with a question regarding Davis’ recent critics, James fiercely jumped to his defense.

“We don’t give a s**t about criticism about AD. We don’t care,” James told TNT Sports.

“Nothing bothers us. AD doesn’t care. I don’t know if guys have figured that out. AD does not care.

“He’s not on social media. So he doesn’t see none of the c**p. He rarely talks, unless it’s to us. So we don’t give a s**t about it.

“He definitely doesn’t. He’s going and doing his job, and we’re happy to have AD.”

The four-time NBA MVP’s comments stunned fans who quickly took to X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Definitely something someone who doesn’t care would say,” replied one fan.

Another said: “Him not caring about the criticism is irrelevant to whether the criticism is true or not.”

A third added: “Come in LeBron kids watch and listen to you. Clean your mouth.”

While, by comparison, a fourth commented: “Absolutely correct… block out the noise. Only opinions that matter are in that locker room!”

Davis won’t have to wait long to have another opportunity to prove his doubters wrong, with the Sacramento Kings coming up on Sunday.

The last time Davis suited up against the Kings was last November during a 120-114 loss.

He finished the game with 24 points, fourteen rebounds, and three assists.
