Kevin Durant looking upwardPHOENIX, ARIZONA – APRIL 25: Kevin Durant #35 of the Phoenix Suns reacts during the second quarter against the LA Clippers in game five of the Western Conference First Round Playoffs at Footprint Center on April 25, 2023 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Kevin Durant really hopped on a Twitter Spaces chat to school random fans who were debating whether or not he’s a top-five player in the NBA.

The two-time NBA Finals MVP, who was traded to the Phoenix Suns last season, has found winning championships a bit more difficult since leaving Golden State. However, he’s still undeniably one of the best basketball players on the planet.

That should go without saying, yet KD isn’t satisfied with knowing he’s one of the best NBA players in history and feels the need to defend himself online, by himself, every now and again. The 13-time NBA All-Star was exposed for having a burner Twitter account a few years ago, so he defends himself on his real account nowadays, though he has made claims of still using burner accounts from time to time.

Durant was at it again this Friday, jumping into a chat on Twitter Spaces to argue with fans. You’d think an NBA player on vacation would have better things to do with his Friday night, but he was on the web dropping some knowledge.

We imagine it must have been a treat for the fans involved in the chat. The host likely never imagined Kevin Durant would actually join the conversation. But that just goes to show one should never underestimate the 35-year-old’s need to look good in everyone’s eyes.
