Josh Brolin is set to make at least three more appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Josh Brolin has signed a four-film deal with Marvel Studios and he will return for three more movies in the Deadpool franchise. This is exciting news for fans of Brolin’s Cable character, as well as for the Deadpool franchise as a whole. Cable is a time traveler from the future and has some serious super-human abilities like telekinesis, telepathy, and superhuman strength and durability.

Even though Brolin is set to reprise his role as Cable in three more movies, he will not be appearing in the upcoming Deadpool 3. Although it’s a bit disappointing, the movie will feature Deadpool and Wolverine teaming up to travel back in time to prevent the events of X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Although it is still too soon to foretell which other Marvel movies Brolin may feature in, apart from Deadpool there are a lot of options. In addition to the next Deadpool feature, Cable might make an appearance in an X-Force movie or perhaps go on a mission with the Avengers, combining the X-Men with the MCU.

In any event, fans should be happy to hear that Josh Brolin is still involved with Marvel. His return to the franchise is encouraging because he is a gifted actor who gives a lot to the role of Cable. The Deadpool franchise on the other hand is a very successful movie series with more than $1.5 billion as its box office revenue from only two movies.

Deadpool 3 Might Feature Wolverine for the Last Time

It’s probable that Hugh Jackman will never again portray Wolverine after his cameo in Deadpool 3. Though Jackman had previously stated that he would be leaving the role after Logan in 2017, he has decided to come back for Deadpool 3 as he is enthusiastic about the creative opportunities the movie presented.

It’s unknown, though, how long Jackman will be willing to stay in the part. The physical demands of playing Wolverine are great for a 55-year-old man as the character needs to stay in shape for most of the time. Whereas, it is also possible that Marvel Studios is planning to introduce a new actor to play Wolverine in the future.

It would be a fitting close to Jackman’s run as Wolverine if Deadpool 3 marks his final appearance in the role. The film is expected to be a wild and comedic ride, and it would be a great way for Jackman to bid farewell to the character that he has played for over 23 years. Jackman started this role with X-Men back in 2000 and also had the longest career as a live-action Marvel character.
