Britney Spears just can’t catch a break in her personal life despite scripting a very successful career and huge popularity that lately bagged her a massive deal for a tell-all memoir.

Spears came out of a 13-year conservatorship that took away control of her own personal and financial affairs from herself in 2021. On the back of this, the 41-year-old was handed one of the biggest book deals of all time. Simon & Schuster agreed on a deal that saw the pop icon take home a $15 million advance to write her memoir.

Her huge fan base and entertainment industry followers have been waiting keenly to read her story titled The Woman in Me. It’s penciled in to release on October 24. However, Spears has now landed in another personal dispute and her upcoming memoir might end up working against her.

What Has Happened Between Britney Spears and Sam Asghari

After Britney Spears supposedly moved on from the much-covered dispute with her father, everything appeared rosy in her life: the newfound freedom, the eye-watering book deal, and the very romantic (at least on the surface) relationship with Sam Asghari.

The Gimme More singer and The Family Business actor got engaged in September 2021 and tied the knot in June 2022. 14 months later, now Asghari has filed for divorce from Spears.

Further, as per RadarOnline.com, the 29-year-old is threatening to release “embarrassing information” about the famous singer if their prenup isn’t renegotiated.

It’s understood that Asghari believes the Toxic star cheated on him with at least one of the staffers, and he has even informed his friends that he discovered a video of his wife and the male employee in a “compromising position”.

Things were already tricky between the two and this development has proved to be the final nail in the coffin for Asghari.

This smells of another long legal battle in Spears’ life, and her legal team is already expecting the dispute to get tricky for the Princess of Pop. In this regard, her upcoming book could spell disastrous outcomes.

“Britney’s autobiography had a happy ever after. It told the story of how she found love with Sam, and how she viewed him as the one. It was a real-life fairytale, at least according to the manuscript.”

“Britney’s lawyer, Laura Wasser, is frightened that the unpublished manuscript could come out before it is re-written and it could be used against her in the divorce. If Britney cheated on Sam, and she is telling a vastly different story in her book, it’s a disaster.”
It’s suggested that Asghari – who met Spears while she was shooting Slumber Party video in 2016 – could use contents from her book as leverage to walk away with a favorable deal from the separation. Accordingly, the timing of the split to clash with the book’s release is seen as a disaster for Spears.
