Josie Gibson broke down in tears after Danielle Harold was eliminated from I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! on Thursday night.

The This Morning host, 38, became overcome with emotion when the EastEnders actress, 31, promised to give her son Reggie a hug for her as she left camp.

Danielle then told hosts Ant and Dec how much Josie has been missing her son Reggie, five, after being apart for more than two weeks during her jungle stint.

Josie previously sparked quit fears on the ITV reality show as she struggled with missing Reggie, with Danielle sweetly comforting her at the time.

Upon her elimination after the public vote, Danielle kindly promised to give Reggie a ‘hug’ for Josie as she will be reunited with all of the campmates’ loved ones.

Saying her farewells in camp, Danielle said: ‘Josie, I’ve got your little one, okay, I promise you.’

Josie – who is the last woman standing in the camp – then said: ‘Tell him I love him, tell him I’ll be out soon!’

Danielle will be reunited with her family and the other celebrities’ loved ones after her departure as they are all in Brisbane waiting to greet the stars as the eliminations continue.

Josie will be reunited with her son Reggie in a matter of days as the celebrities will continue to be voted out by the public ahead of Sunday’s hotly-anticipated final.

Josie’s son has been staying with his father Terry Bond while the presenter is in the jungle. The pair started dating in 2017 but split in 2018 when Reggie was five months old.

After her elimination, Danielle caught up with Ant and Dec to discuss her time in the jungle, and told them how much Josie is missing her son.

‘[Josie’s] just missing her little one so much, but I said I’m going to give him a kiss and a squeeze,’ she said as she watched Josie crying over her exit back in camp.

Danielle’s exit leaves Josie Gibson as the final female campmate left in the race for the crown, and the TV star gushed over her pal while chatting to Ant and Dec.

As Danielle left the camp, she told a crying Josie: 'I've got your little one, okay, I promise you,' as they shared a hug

‘My Josie, I’m rooting for her so much, she’s so much stronger than she thinks… she’s got this, I know she has,’ Danielle said.

Last week, Josie broke down in tears as she struggled with missing Reggie and told Danielle that she ‘shouldn’t have ever left him this long’.

In the scenes, Danielle went to check on Josie as she heard her crying in the toilet, and after asking if she could enter, she asked: ‘What’s the matter?’

Struggling to control her tears, Josie sniffed: ‘I just miss my little boy. I shouldn’t have ever left him this long.’

Speaking in the Bush Telegraph, Josie then admitted: ‘Just had a little wobble. You just feel very guilty. I’ll never leave him this long again, ever.’

Reggie is currently enjoying his first trip to Australia to ensure he’s there to greet his mother at the bridge when she leaves I’m A Celebrity.

Sporting a Team Josie T-shirt when he touched down at Brisbane Airport, Reggie proudly declared: ‘I think that my mummy’s going to win’.

Reggie, who is used to sleeping with his mother every night, was joined by Josie’s best friend Mia Williams, who has been looking after Reggie and her son Romey Williams for the journey.

The trio touched down at Brisbane Airport at 9.45am and Mia said: ‘He’s coped really well considering she’s been gone for a couple of weeks now.

‘It’s the longest they’ve been apart, it’s obviously tough all around but he’s been dealing with it well but it’s tough for her you can see that.

‘She is missing him but she’s doing it for him – she wants him to see her on the TV.’
