Nicolas Cage recently revealed that he is not a fan of the memes that are made about him
With his talent and determination, actor Nicolas Cage has left a lasting impact on the world of cinema. Since he was born into the Coppola family, the actor has seen the Hollywood life inside out. In 1982, Cage made his film debut in the coming-of-age film Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Since then, Cage has showcased his talent in various blockbuster hits, becoming a well-known star around the world, however, there is one thing that Cage hates about his superstar life: the memes.

Recently, actor Nicolas Cage appeared for an interview with The Guardian, and during the conversation, Cage shared his views on memes that are made about him,
“I might have been the first actor who went through a kind of meme-ification. One person had cherrypicked from all these different movies where I was having meltdowns but without any regard for how the character got to that place. I was frustrated because I didn’t know what people were taking from the movies other than that.”
“I didn’t understand how to process what was happening. I got into acting because I was moved by film performance more than any other art form. I didn’t get into movies to become a meme. That was new. I made friends with it but it was an adjustment,” adding, “I thought maybe they would compel someone to go back and look at the movies. But I had no control over it. The same thing happens with Paul in Dream Scenario: he has no control over this inexplicable phenomenon.”
A scene in 1988’s Vampire Kiss created the iconic You Don’t Say! meme. It became so popular that people started using it as a sarcastic response to an obvious observation or statement.
Nicolas Cage says fame is like gambling

Further in the interview, Cage explained how he perceives fame as a gamble. The actor highlighted that there is a dark side to fame referencing his personal financial controversies that became the center of attention in the late 2000s,
“Look, I don’t gamble but fame is like gambling. When fame turns on you, the effects of loss, as with gambling, are more profound than the effects of winning,” adding, “There’ve been moments when things were broadcast about my finances, or mistakes I’d made became extremely public, and I felt all that.”
Cage has worked in various genres, from action-packed blockbusters like Con Air (1997) to more artistic endeavors in movies like Adaptation (2002). His distinctive acting style and dedication to his craft have made him one of Hollywood’s most talented actors.
