Patrick Mahomes‘s wife, Brittany, showed support for the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback after his on-field meltdown Sunday.
A seething Mahomes threw his helmet to the ground and had to be held back by his teammates as he tried to scream at officials following a dramatic ending to the Chiefs’ 20-17 loss to the Buffalo Bills.
But in the wake of the signal caller’s rant, his wife Brittany Mahomes appeared to back him with a series of family photos on Instagram.
Brittany, who has recently become good friends with pop star and tight end Travis Kelce‘s girlfriend Taylor Swift, took to Instagram two days after his meltdown to share the sweet snaps.
Mahomes could be seen crouching down to hug his daughter Sterling Skye, 2, while Brittany held their son, Patrick ‘Bronze’, 1, in the pregame photos.

Brittany shared a series of sweet pregame family photos to Instagram on Tuesday
She showed her support for the quarterback by captioning the post: ‘Riding with 15 always’
In other photos in the carousel, Brittany cradled her children in her arms as she stood on the sideline.
‘Riding with 15 always,’ she captioned the post, referring to the reigning NFL MVP’s jersey number.
Her post comes just two days after Mahomes lost in cool in the dying moments on the matchup Sunday.
The Chiefs lost to the Buffalo Bills 20-17 after what would have been a winning touchdown from Kadarius Toney was overturned due to an offside penalty on the wide receiver.
A screaming Mahomes had to be held back as he tried to confront the officials before he told opposite number Josh Allen the decision was ‘f****ng terrible’ in the dramatic moments at the end of the game at Arrowhead Stadium.
Much of the Chiefs’ anger was thought to be because the officials had not warned them about a possible offensive offside.
But referee Carl Cheffers said Toney was so far offside that he was ‘blocking our view of the ball’ and admitted he would have given the Chiefs advice on their positioning if they had asked for it. But head coach Andy Reid admitted that they hadn’t.
Toney’s touchdown would have moved the hosts 23-20 ahead with just over a minute to play, yet when the score was erased and Buffalo held on for the victory the red mist descended for Mahomes.

She also helped hold him up as he toddled around in a Chiefs-red tracksuit and matching hat
But two days on from the incident, Mahomes admitted his behavior was out of line and he is now prepared to accept the ‘consequences’ for it.
When asked if he expects to be fined, he told 610 Sports: ‘Honestly, I don’t know. I know usually, when you talk about referees, saying stuff towards referees, it’s not a good thing. Their job is hard, they are trying to dot heir best as well.
‘Whatever happens, happens. You’ve got to accept the consequence of your actions, that’s something that I’ve always stood by.
‘I didn’t act in the way I usually act and if there’s consequences, I have to accept those.’
Mahomes received widespread criticism on Monday, with FOX Sports’ Skip Bayless branding his outburst ‘spoiled brat behavior’, while ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith claimed the NFL MVP ’embarrassed himself’.

Mahomes said that he will accept any fine that could be heading his way from the NFL
‘I care, man. I love this game, I love my teammates. I want to go out there and put everything on the line to win,’ Mahomes added.
‘But obviously, can’t do that, can’t be that way toward officials or really anybody in life, so I probably regret acting like that. But, more than anything I regretted how I acted toward Josh after the game, because he had nothing to do with it.
‘It was a tough loss but all you can do in this league is move on. I’ve watched the film to learn from our mistakes in the game. Keep moving forward in this league if you want to get back on track.
‘It’s part of it, part of the game. You try to learn from it, be better as a person and be better as a player. Something I’ll learn from in my career and try to be better if the situation arises.’
