Britney Spears has been out of her conservatorship for about 14 months and things aren’t said to be going well for the singer as it’s now being reported that the people closest to her are desperate to stage an intervention on her. According to TMZ, Spears was supposed to have met with her manager on Tuesday, alongside an interventionist, her husband Sam Asghari, and doctors, hoping that they could convince her that she apparently needs to be treated for her mental health.

Sources say that people in the singer’s camp have become increasingly alarmed by her behavior in recent months, particularly because she’s allegedly stopped taking her medications. But ahead of the intervention on Tuesday, an insider claims Spears found out about it, causing the plan to derail. But from what TMZ has gathered, the mother of two had agreed to see a doctor a day after, with one source saying the session had gone well.

The alleged intervention comes just weeks after Spears made headlines for supposedly acting manic at a restaurant minutes after her husband was claimed to have walked out after a dispute at the table. It’s further mentioned that her sister Jamie Lynn Spears, dad Jamie, and mom Lynne had no involvement to get Spears mentally evaluated.

As previously reported, the “Radar” pop star has not been on good terms with her family since her conservatorship ended in November 2021. Spears had accused several relatives of using the conservatorship as a way for them to make money off her as she went on to allege that she had endured plenty of abuse under the court-ordered arrangement.

Some of the said abuse she suffered included being put on lithium, being forced to tour against her will, and allegedly having her children used as a pawn. If Spears allegedly did not abide by the rules set out by her dad Jamie Spears, there would be consequences, which she said would often lead her to be taken in for a mental evaluation.

Spears also accused her dad of sending her to a mental facility against her will — a decision he apparently made because she had refused to go back on tour.
