Could it be a love story after all for Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift?

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end and world-renowned singer/songwriter plan to get engaged this summer, according to Mara Siegler of Page Six.

“There are rumors the pair held off from having Kelce pop the question over the winter holidays because ‘they don’t want it to seem like it’s rushed insanity,’” Siegler wrote.

Kelce and Swift made their first public appearance together in September when she visited Arrowhead Stadium to watch him play. However, Swift said in an interview with TIME that they had been dating for much longer.

“This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” Swift said. “We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other. By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”

Kelce revealed on his New Heights podcast with his brother and Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce that he attempted to give Swift his number when he attended her concert at Arrowhead Stadium over the summer but that his efforts failed.

Swift has been to numerous Chiefs games since September, and it’s possible she could be in attendance for Saturday’s AFC Wild Card matchup against the Dolphins.

They are expected to apply the same logic on Valentine’s Day, despite talk of the NFL tight end marking their first celebration together with an engagement ring.

An insider is quoted as saying: ‘Taylor and Travis discussed it and there is a plan.’

There is said to be a buzz that the pair will get engaged on their one-year anniversary in July, having first met a few months before Swift attended her first Chiefs game in September.

The singer and songwriter revealed in an interview with Time that they began hanging out after Kelce admitted trying and failing to give her his phone number on his New Heights podcast in July.

‘We started hanging out right after that,’ she said. ‘So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other.
