LSU women’s basketball star Angel Reese knows what it’s like to be at the center of controversy over a celebration or taunt.

This week, the LSU women’s basketball star called out Barstool Sports’ double standard in covering Ja Morant and Texas’ Quinn Ewers, a white quarterback.

Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers and Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant both did a similar dance during games in the past week, but they sparked very different social media posts from Barstool Sports.

When Morant came up with a high-flying dunk in New Orleans to help beat the Pelicans the day after Christmas, Barstool Sports posted it with Morant dancing and the comment, “Ja spraying imaginary bullets into section 113 after slam.”

During Monday night’s Sugar Bowl, Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers used the same dance to celebrate a touchdown in his team’s 37-31 loss to Washington in New Orleans, but Barstool tweeted out a video of Ewers dancing with the comment, “Quinn Ewers is having fun.”

Reese took to X to blas them.

“Lol I’ve seen this before,” Reese wrote.

Throughout the 2023 March Madness tournament, Iowa’s Caitlin Clark celebrated with taunts aimed at other players but when Reese did the same thing, she was blasted for it.

Dave Portnoy, the founder of Barstool Sports, even sent out and deleted a post calling Reese a “classless piece of sh*t” for taunting Clark.
