Janet Jackson

Janet Jackson is a living legend and has the success to prove it!

According to Billboard Boxscore, her 2023 “Together Again Tour” drew in an estimated $50.9 million, selling 479,000 tickets in a span of 37 U.S. shows.

The Tour’s Success

What’s more, the outlet suggests that Jackson’s 2023 string of shows beat out her previous “All For You Tour,” which took place between 2001 and 2002, drawing in a reported $46.9 million.

Across several cities, the “That’s The Way Love Goes” crooner is said to have surpassed a lot of her previous tour feats. A double-header at Madison Square Garden in New York in early May 2023 allegedly sold 24,500 tickets, grossing a reported career high of $3.8 million. This would beat her $3.2 million earnings for a three-show run she had at the venue in 2001.

In Atlanta, GA, the report revealed that Jackson may have drawn in $3.1 million across two days at the State Farm Arena. Additionally, her Hollywood Bowl show in Los Angeles, CA, in June is said to have filled her pockets with $2.8 million.

Surpassing Herself

According to the numbers pulled by Billboard Boxscore, Jackson’s “Together Again Tour” averaged a total of 12,958 tickets per show across its 37 shows.

This number reportedly brought her back up to another precedent she set for herself during the 1990s and early 2000s, allegedly surpassing the attendance per show for the following tours: “Janet. World Tour,” 1993-94; “Velvet Rope Tour,” 1997-98; and “All For You Tour,” 2001-02.

Lastly, Jackson may have also landed her best ticket sales to date since her initial “Rhythm Nation World Tour” in 1990.

Janet Jackson — The History-Maker

As previously reported by AfroTech, Jackson is no stranger to breaking records at her electrifying concerts.

In 2022, she made Essence Festival of Culture history with one of the highest-grossing nights in the event’s 28 years of shows, which is no small move when the event draws headliners like Luther Vandross, Mary J. Blige, and a host of others.
