LeBron James, the star forward for the Los Angeles Lakers, has made it big in the league. The 39-year-old is playing his 21st season in the league and has made and broken many records so far. While the player is trying to get his team out of a losing rut, a former NBA player has made a revelation regarding LeBron.

James has played for three franchises in the league since 2003. The fact that he has become the face of every team he has played with is well-accepted. However, a former player for the Milwaukee Bucks begs to differ from this view.

Kendall Gill spilled the tea on the topic of how every player has to sacrifice his position to let James play. In 2022, Gill appeared in a video on ‘TJ Sports USA’ and dropped his views on how the players have to adjust with LeBron on the hardwood.

Gill said, “I tell people this all the time: It’s very hard to play with LeBron James. LeBron is really the de facto point guard; even though he’s six-foot-nine and 270 pounds, he’s going to have the basketball most of the time.” Iterating on the fact that many guards have had to sacrifice their role in the team just to let James handle the ball, Gill took a shot at the Lakers’ star.

Citing Russell Westbrook and Kyrie Irving as examples, the former NBA player explained his point. Gill didn’t hesitate in explaining how Westbrook, although an MVP-caliber player, suffered to play alongside James. There have been many prominent claims about the same aspect, time and again citing Bron’s dominance on the court.

NBA reporter and ESPN personality, J. A. Adande, also echo the same sentiment. Adande had a chat with Bill Simmons on the occasion of the NBA’s 75th anniversary back in 2021. Adande explained how Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh had to sacrifice their prime years with the Miami Heat on the court for James. Amidst all this turmoil, James got some world-class players indeed.

LeBron James’ best teammates

James was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers back in 2003 and, since then, has played with a plethora of players across the league. However, some of those players complimented his gameplay and helped him throw more buckets. The first to top the list is Anthony Davis, as the two Lakers stars have already played alongside each other on the New Orleans Pelicans.

Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh also helped glorify his time with the Miami Heat. The trio was referred to as the ‘Heatles’ back then. Kyrie Irving is the fourth star on the list. This partnership helped the Cavaliers win a championship. Although there are many other players, Kevin Love, Ray Allen, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, and Shaquille O’Neal are the other notable players.
