Thunder guard Josh Giddey is being investigated by the police and the NBA

The 21-year-old Australian has continued to play while the probes continue

Bulls legend Horace Grant has called on NBA fans not to judge Josh Giddey until the full details of his alleged relationship with a minor emerge.

The Oklahoma City Thunder guard is being investigated by police and the NBA over the allegations after photos and videos appeared on social media last month.

The 21-year-old has continued to play while the probes rumble on and Grant – who won three NBA Championships alongside Michael Jordan – branded the situation ‘sad’, claiming he has heard Giddey is ‘a nice young man’.
But the 58-year-old called on Giddey and the public to ‘let the details come out and then let the chips lay where they land’.

‘It’s sad but I think he’s got good people around him and he should just let the legal things happen,’ Grant told the Herald Sun.

He said the public should ‘let the details come out and then let the chips lay where they land’
‘No one knows all the details in the situation. From my understanding, he is a nice young man who just got caught up in a situation that unfortunately on both sides shouldn’t have happened.

‘But let the details come out and then let the chips lay where they land.’

Giddey has been booed by opposition fans since the accusations surfaced and photos showed the topless player with a girl who is allegedly underage.

‘I love his game,’ Grant added. ‘He reminds me of a (Spurs legend) George Gervin, the ‘Iceman’ back in the day. He is so smooth.

‘From the fundamentals, the shot, even playing some good defence, he is a team player and he is going to be great in this league.’
