The NBA is currently dealing with another controversial call involving LeBron James and one of the most outrageous referees around. The 4x NBA Champion has been around the league long enough to know what he’s doing. James often has standoffs against game officials if there has been a questionable call or mistake on their end. However, it doesn’t seem like the game officials cared about what James thought this time.

The Los Angeles Lakers recently played against the Minnesota Timberwolves. They have been on an unfortunate losing streak and this game was potentially going to end it. By the end of the fourth quarter, the forward made a three-pointer which was ruled off as a two-pointer. Referee Tony Brothers made the call and James did not agree to it. A video that held the audio of James challenging Brothers went viral on social media.

In the video, LeBron James said, “Look, look!”, while signaling at Anthony Davis to see the replay as well. Brothers then said, “That’s a two-point field goal, That’s what the replay center ruled, not me.” James was seemingly furious as he continued, “That’s bullsh*t, look at the f**king replay.” The King went absolutely soar following the play and also trolled the officials of the game during a locker room interview.

LeBron James stans accuse Tony Brothers and the NBA of rigging the game

Following the game, Tony Brothers mentioned that there wasn’t enough evidence to side with LeBron James’ challenge. He mentioned in a pool report, “The play was ruled a two-point field goal on the floor during live play. After video review, there wasn’t clear and conclusive evidence to overturn it from a two to a three, and that’s why it stood as a two-point field goal.”
However, the video of the play was circulated on social media and it was fairly evident that LeBron James’ foot was away from the line before making the jump shot. Fans ultimately slammed Brothers and the NBA accusing them of rigging the game. One fan said, “You can’t watch this and say the NBA isn’t rigged.” Another fan said, “‘That’s what the replay center told me’ is exactly what I would say if I was trying to rig a game.”

The Lakers ended up fouling Anthony Edwards during the next play which rewarded him with two free throws. Edwards made only one attempt thus bringing the score to 106-108. The Wolves added another victory to their record while the Lakers left the arena with a bitter taste in their mouths.
