The Big Podcast, which was previously distributed by Warner Bros. Discovery Sports, will now be housed by sports entertainment company Playmaker HQ.

As part of the deal, O’Neal has launched a revamped version of The Big Podcast with Shaq, which is being co-hosted by WBD Sports personality Adam Lefkoe.

“I’m excited to work with Playmaker, a creative partner with a unique production and distribution process, to create my own podcast network,” said O’Neal in a statement.

“The Big Podcast Network will prioritize and uplift fresh and diverse voices that will expand the conversation beyond sports to include music, fashion and entertainment.”

It is the latest business venture for O’Neal, who is a star co-host of Inside The NBA.

In September, O’Neal teamed up with Fantasy Lab Las Vegas in a deal which allows fans to immerse themselves in the thoughts and fantasies imagined by the Lakers icon.

Earlier this year, O’Neal celebrated bringing his Big Chicken restaurant to Houston, Texas.

The franchise is reportedly hoping to open 150 new eateries across the US as part of a major expansion.

Reports said the former 7-foot-1 NBA center also joined forces with rapper 50 Cent in May in an attempt to buy Black Entertainment Television (BET) from Paramount.

According to a release, hosts on the Big Podcast Network will be able to “tap into Shaq’s creative mind, promotion, and vast network of resources.”

“From our first conversation, our visions were perfectly aligned,” said Playmaker HQ president Brandon Harris.

“With both sides wanting to make a fun, creative and authentic show, as well as wanting to build a full-service platform to help other athletes build their own successful content platforms.

“Our audience already loves Shaq, and we can’t wait for them to get to know him even better through this platform.

“Even more importantly, we couldn’t be more excited to be a driving force behind even more athlete entrepreneurship success stories together with our new network.”
