As the oldest of Steve’s children, Brandi and Karli have been through a lot with their father.

They’ve seen him get divorced twice and had to cope with welcoming other women into their family. Things haven’t always been easy, especially with Harvey effectively abandoning his two girls when he was trying to establish himself in comedy.

Spending so much time on the road meant he wasn’t just apart from his wife but also his kids. Steve reportedly felt guilty for leaving his insurance salesman job, which provided for the family. However, he believed he needed to take the chance to become a successful comedian. The twins didn’t initially understand it and became estranged from him. However, in the years since, they’ve definitely rebuilt those bridges.

It takes time to rebuild a relationship when you’ve been estranged from your father the way Brandi and Karli were. Unfortunately, while they’ve managed to get to a good place, the same allegedly can’t be said for Marjorie. There are allegations that Steve’s daughters feel pushed out by their latest stepmom, with people even pointing this out on Marjorie’s social media posts.

It seems that the young women are often absent whenever she posts about family, raising a few questions about why they’re hardly ever around their stepmom. Of course, with none of the people involved actually speaking out about the situation, this might just be nothing more than rumors. The speculation will likely continue until they give people a reason to otherwise, though.

Steve’s kids reportedly took time to warm up to the idea of being a blended family

Rumors about Brandi and Karli not seeing eye to eye with Marjorie may stem from the fact that Steve’s children reportedly struggled to adjust to their blended family at first. It can be quite difficult getting used to suddenly having a bunch of new siblings when your parents get married.

Although most of the children were pretty grown by the time the couple tied the knot, the new family situation still took time to get used to. However, they soon learned to embrace their new siblings and stepmom, potentially because Steve didn’t give them much of a choice. According to People magazine, he told his family to “deal with it” because Steve was marrying Marjorie whether they liked it or not.
