American television personality Steve Harvey often gives some pretty practical advice on his shows.

He advised men who want to commit to a long-term relationship to stop asking their wives what they bring to the table.

So, according to him, this young generation of men is wrong to ask this of women.

“One woman can do another, it’s our job to take care of a wife and a few children,” he said.

Speaking during an interview with Black Millionaires, Steve Harvey said that it is men’s responsibility to take care of women and not the other way around.

“That’s what’s wrong with this generation today, the young boys today, what do they bring to the table?

What do you mean man? What does your ass bring to the table?

You have a woman who can come to the table who can do another you, what else she needs to slide up to the table?

What about your job? What happened to the men who were supposed to be responsible?

Do you know that it is up to us (Men) to take care of women, children and our family? It’s our damn job,” he said.

Steve Harvey is one of those who are for gender equality and the role of women in relationships.

Many people argue that women should not be judged solely on their ability to contribute financially.

But rather on their character, their values and other intangible qualities that make them valuable partners.
