Kane spoke immediately after the 0-0 draw in Cologne.
England captain Harry Kane has been criticised by fans for his interview after his side’s 0-0 draw with Slovenia.
The Three Lions’ stalemate in Cologne meant they topped Group C, and will avoid a potential nightmare bracket that includes Spain, Germany, France and Portugal.
But their three performances at Euro 2024 have not inspired fans, and they struggled to create clear-cut chances against Slovenia.

Kane spoke to ITV Sport immediately after the full-time whistle – but fans were not impressed with his answers.
He said: “That was the aim before the tournament, to come top of the group and control our own destiny.
“Tonight was a tough game. I thought we played a lot bettwr than the other two games, a lot more energy and better on the ball. We just couldn’t find that final ball and final finish.

“It was a tough game, all of these games are going to be difficult now. We recover well, we enjoy that we’re top of the group and we look forward to the next one.”

Kane added: “Just that final bit of quality, final pass, finish or cross, we didn’t quite have it there today. We created some half chances and we had towards the end there that we could have maybe done better.
“Overall, they defended well and they made it hard for us.”

Fans had their say to the interview on social media, with one writing: “You need to re-watch that whole game Harry and endure what we just have.”
Another agreed: “What game did he witness?”
A third added: “Mate, the game was on telly. We all saw it.”
While a fourth noted: “In tournament/cup football you have to go out and make a statement in each game. Make teams scared to play you. Who’s scared of playing us right now?”

And a fifth opined: “Can’t stand these interviews after the game. The smallest of improvement in ball retention but seriously lacking any ability to run in behind. Kane looks shot to bits.”
