When the film Sin City – Recut, Extended, Unrated was released in 2005, Bruce Willis and Jessica Alba’s intimate scenes were the talks of the town. Willis portrayed John Hartigan in the film, and Alba played Nancy Callahan. When they worked together, the Dark Angel actress was 26 years younger than Willis. Alba has always been outspoken about her beliefs, and she has always advocated for equality in the industry.

During a discussion about gender equality in the film industry, the 42-year-old actress stated that she desired to do action movies like the male protagonist in the movie.

Jessica Alba has always spoken and fought for equal opportunities for female actors in Hollywood. The Sin City – Recut, Extended, Unrated actress revealed that she never considered competing against female performers, stating that her true competitors were male actors. The Into the Blue actress stated that she desired what Bruce Willis had. She didn’t want to play the role of the 68-year-old actor’s love interest in the film.

During an interview while talking about competing with other actors and equal opportunities for female actors, Alba said,
“I wasn’t competitive with other actresses, I was competitive with male actors. I was like, ‘Why can’t I be the star of an action series? Why can’t I open movies? Why can’t I put a*ses on seats?’”
She further added,
“I didn’t want to be the women who Bruce Willis was into in Die Hard, I wanted to be Bruce Willis.” 
Alba desires to be as powerful as a Hero in her films rather than being saved by the male protagonist. Reportedly she always felt she could do everything like the male actors.

When Alba worked with Willis in Sin City – Recut, Extended, Unrated she was very young and the 68-year-old actor was an experienced actor. There was a passionate kissing scene in the movie but the Die Hard actor wasn’t comfortable during the scene. Alba explained that she was very comfortable, but Willis was hesitant to kiss the 42-year-old actress on the other side. Alba said during an interview,
“ It was easy for me. I’ve done a few kisses in my day. We had this big romantic kiss, and it was supposed to be like this big, epic, beautiful kiss like you’re anticipating this thing,”
She further added,
“We finally get to that scene and Bruce is sitting down and I’m going in for the kiss and he goes, ‘Maybe I get up and walk away and she runs after me.’ He says it to Robert when we were shooting it and Robert was like, ‘What?’ He got nervous.”

Alba recalled for her it was a cute moment as she knew she was kissing Willis who was the Die Hard actor. Although Willis was averse to the kissing scene he was asked to do it because it was the script’s demand.
