Apart from cementing his name at the top through the sports drama Rocky, Sylvester Stallone also shares a keen interest in the field of boxing and has voiced his opinion on certain subjects. The Rambo star also shared his opinion on the beef between two sensations of this field, involving Jake Paul and Conor McGregor.

It’s no news that internet sensation Jake Paul and former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion don’t see eye to eye and have taken constant jabs at each other through social media. And after being asked about his opinion on whether McGregor should fight Paul after the YouTuber turned boxer offered him a hefty amount, Stallone explained that McGregor would be a fool to reject the offer.

Sylvester Stallone called Conor McGregor a fool for not fighting Jake Paul

Although Jake Paul is comparatively new to this field in comparison to McGregor, who remains one of UFC’s biggest attractions of all time, Paul has repeatedly challenged him for a boxing faceoff. While weighing his opinion on the matter, Sylvester Stallone explained that the former UFC champion would be a fool to reject the $50M offer. However, the Rambo star believes that if Conor McGregor accepted the challenge, it will not be an easy match for him, as he commends Jake Paul’s talent and skills in the field, despite being pretty young. Stallone stated,
“Are you kidding. With the kind of money that’s going around, he’d be foolish not to. Think about it. Reflecting on Jake Paul’s chances of winning, Stallone said, “Oh yeah [Jake’s] got range, and he’s got youth. And, he’s not easy to knockout.”
Even though McGregor didn’t directly deny the offer, the match never came to fruition, as not long after Paul offered the challenge, the UFC champion sustained a severe leg injury in July 2021.

Jake Paul claimed that he will beat Conor McGregor

Considering that Conor McGregor is still yet to return to the ring, the future of a match between Jake Paul and McGregor isn’t the brightest at present. However, this hasn’t stopped the beef between the two, as Paul didn’t hold back while responding to McGregor’s derogatory remarks about the YouTuber, as Jake Paul claimed he is a better boxer than him. Paul stated,

“Guess what, Conor? I’ll beat the f–king f–k out of you and you can’t box as good as me. I’m gonna do to Nate [Diaz] what you couldn’t, which is knock him the f–k out. You’re gonna be sitting there with your new beer company that’s failing, drinking it, drunk as f–k, realizing that you pissed your life away drinking at the end of the bottle.

With Conor McGregor set to return to action later this year, the chances of fans and Sylvester Stallone witnessing Paul and McGregor sharing the ring seem a little far-fetched for now.
