Taylor Swift may just be heading to the MCU after all as Ryan Reynolds says he loves the thought of her joining ‘Deadpool 3’.

Marvel Studios’ most anticipated and now only 2024 MCU movie Deadpool 3 is set to feature more cameos from past franchises than ever before, however, some appearances have been rumoured to be by new joiners.

Popular singer Taylor Swift has been long rumoured to have some sort of involvement in Deadpool 3, with most rumours claiming she is set to be playing Marvel’s Dazzler – a mutant who can convert literal sound energy into light and energy beams.

Although many rumours surrounding the third Deadpool movie still remain unconfirmed, its titular star Ryan Reynolds has offered a cryptic update specifically on the Swift casting rumours floating around.

While talking to the Vancouver Sun, Reynolds was asked about the popular Swift rumour.

“Yeah, I’ve heard that one,” he said while laughing.

“I love it. I think it’s a sign of how eager people are to get a peek behind the curtain in this world,” the actor continued.

Although the actor never confirmed Swift was in the movie, he didn’t say she wasn’t. Reynolds just went on to state that “Every single one of these secrets and spoilers will be revealed on July 26,” the 2024 release date for Deadpool 3.

In the same interview with the Vancouver Sun, Reynolds reveals that he “fought like hell” to film the third Deadpool 3 movie in Canada.

He explained, “They [Disney/Marvel Studios] have their infrastructure, and you just have to sort of fall in line. To a certain degree, I understand that, but I miss home.”

Although the actor wanted the film to be shot in his home country, the sequel’s cast and crew – including Hugh Jackman – have and will be filming it in England, United Kingdom.

Deadpool 3 releases in theatres on July 26, 2024.
