Hitting a billion at the box office is not pretty common for projects, which are not previously linked with any established IP or attached to a larger cinematic universe, like MCU or Star Wars. But apart from pre-established Ips, actors also play a major role in bringing traction to movies, and Keanu Reeves is one of the biggest examples.
In recent times, he has cemented himself as one of the biggest box office draws, thanks to his enormous star power. But even though he has proven himself as a bankable star, which is no surprise considering everyone loves him, surprisingly, there’s only one movie starring Reeves, which has grossed over a billion dollars.

The Only Movie Starring Keanu Reeves That Made Over $1B at the Box Office
Although John Wick and The Matrix remain the highlight of his career, following their impact on their respective genres, none of the entries in those franchises crossed the $1B threshold. Considering The Matrix was released back in 1999, and the John Wick movies were rated R, it’s no surprise to see why they didn’t make a billion at the box office but they still turned in huge profits. But surprisingly, it was the fourth entry in the critically acclaimed Toy Story franchise, which grossed over a billion dollars, making it Keanu Reeves’ only movie to enter the billion-dollar club.
Although on paper it sounds crazy, Toy Story 4‘s huge box office collection of $1.073B is justified, as it not only did justice by its OG characters, it also made Reeves’ Duke Caboom an instant fan-favorite.

Keanu Reeves Made a Young Toy Story 4 Fan’s Day
Keanu Reeves had a blast playing “Canada’s greatest stuntman”, and even though it might not stand on the same level as some of his other prominent roles, it doesn’t diminish his love for the character. And being one of the most loved actors in the entire globe, when he was approached by a young fan, who was a fan of both Reeves and Duke Caboom, Reeves didn’t back away from making the fan’s day.
After having a brief conversation with the kid, who expressed his love for Reeves and his Toy Story 4 character, Reeves changed his voice to that of Caboom, as the two giggled. Reeves further said,
“I’m glad you liked it. I really liked playing Duke Caboom.”

With the actor finally taking a brief hiatus from the John Wick universe, it might not be too long before we witness another one of his upcoming films entering the billion-dollar club.
Toy Story 4 is available to stream on Disney Plus.
