Scarlet Johansson discussed the pressure she faced as an actress in Hollywood during an interview. The actress from Under the Skin stated that she has experienced tremendous pressure over the years to look a certain way and that it is just getting worse. While talking about how the actresses face problems just to stay slim, the 38-year-old actress said,

“There has always been pressure on actors to stay thin. There’s a scene in one of my favorite movies, All About Eve, where Bette Davis is circling around the room, horribly upset about something, and she picks up a chocolate … puts it down … picks it up again … puts it down again … finally, she gives in and eats it, but only after a huge struggle! So even back then, there was the pressure going on. And now, it’s much worse.”
The Black Widow actress stated there was a time when she was very concerned about what people perceived of her. She also thought about the persona she carries and how it will affect her as an actress.

 

Scarlet Johansson likes to stay in shape in a natural way

Johansson reportedly had 5 to 6 weeks to get in shape before the actress was going to start filming for The Avengers. She was required to commit to an intense workout routine to ensure she had the ideal physique. The actress, however, didn’t risk her well-being. The Don Jon actress mentioned how she likes to build a healthy physique and stated, 
“There’s a weight I like to maintain, which is slim but healthy. But there’s a healthy way to keep to that weight and there’s an unhealthy way. I don’t have any comment on how other people choose to live their lives – but for me, I am far too paranoid about my own health to take the road of eating disorders. I’d rather just stay in shape the natural way.” 
In past interviews, the Match Point actress has also mentioned that she fleets 10 times more strong than she was before got in shape for her character Black Widow. Johansson likes to attain a great physique without compromising her health.
