While upon meeting the Mare of Easttown actress for the first time, Leonardo DiCaprio was forcefully made to prepare for the infamous n*dity scene in James Cameron’s magnum opus. The duo had quite the bonding over the years but started with Kate Winslet flashing Leonardo DiCaprio.

According to the tale, the actors did not know each other before their meeting for the movie. In a turn of events, the “draw me like one of your French girls” scene had to be taken first. Although it was quite awkward, the duo managed to do it without any hiccups.

The scene became easier to act since Kate Winslet had flashed Leonardo DiCaprio when they had first met to break the ice. In the official BTS book titled James Cameron’s Titanic, Kate Winslet talked about the infamous n*dity scene and how she chose to break the ice with co-star DiCaprio.
“I was naked in front of Leo on the first day of shooting,” to which Leonardo DiCaprio replies “She had no shame with it. She wanted to break the ice a little beforehand, so she flashed me. I wasn’t prepared for that, so she had one up on me. I was pretty comfortable after that.”
In an interview with Glamour, Kate Winslet revealed that even after all these years, their friendship is still going very strong. Winslet has been quoted several times that Leonardo DiCaprio is the “closest friend in the world”.

In quite an unnatural way, Kate Winslet shared some private information with the world when she admitted that she and her fellow co-star often quote the iconic lines from Titanic. In an interview with Glamour, here’s what the Avatar: The Way of Water actor had to say.
“We found ourselves saying to each other, ‘Can you imagine if the world really knew the stupid things we say?’ I’m not going to tell you what we actually talk about, but yeah, we’re very, very close, and sometimes we do quote the odd Titanic line back and forth to each other because only we can, and we find it really funny.”
With an Oscar award to its name, the James Cameron’s magnum opus Titanic is available to rent on Apple TV+.
