Back in 1992, the British model, Kate Moss was featured in a Calvin Klein ad with Mark Wahlberg. That ad campaign garnered major media attention due to its bawdy nature. That photo shoot had a major contribution in skyrocketing the former’s modeling career however she had an unpleasant experience while working on it.

Back in 2012, she told VanityFair that she regretted doing that photoshoot stating, “I had a nervous breakdown when I was 17 or 18 when I had to go and work with Marky Mark and Herb Ritts.”

“It didn’t feel like me at all. I felt really bad about straddling this buff guy. I didn’t like it,” the model told the outlet.

Due to that infamous ad campaign, she felt unwell for a while.

In July this year, she opened up feeling scared while doing the iconic photoshoot. During an appearance on BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs, she told having “not very good memories” regarding that 1992 ad campaign photo shoot.

The campaign featured the model topless posing with a shirtless Wahlberg.

She recalled her experience working with an American actor, “He was very macho, and it was all about him. He had a big entourage. I was just this kind of model.”

She added that she felt “vulnerable and scared” adding, “I think they played on my vulnerability.”

“I really didn’t feel well at all before the shoot. For like, a week or two, I couldn’t get out of bed,” she added.

She had also dated Johnny Depp for a while with the then-couple first met in 1994 at a restaurant in New York. Their relationship went only for a short while as they broke up in 1998. During Depp’s publicized defamation trial with his ex-wife, Amber Heard, Moss defended him from his ex-wife’s claims.
