It is questionable what would have happened to the franchise if Dwayne Johnson was a part in the movie because Wahlberg could not save the franchise as the following sequels of the franchise were disappointing lacking both, quality and writing for the movies.

The robotic lifeforms are being hunted by a military division called Cemetery Wind led by James Savoy. However, a new threat emerges in the form of ancient Transformers known as the Creators, they have sent Lockdown to capture Optimus Prime and deliver the leader of Autobots to them.

One of the key reasons for the movie was that this installment introduced new characters in the movie, that includes the Dinobots. The movie had jaw-dropping action sequences and to add a cherry on top, it had stunning visual effects, all these factors became the key factors in making this movie the highest-earning film of 2014, and the second-highest-earning film in the Transformers franchise.
