Phoenix Mercury guard Sophie Cunningham turned heads once again with her pregame outfit ahead of the team’s matchup against the New York Liberty last week.
The veteran WNBA player wore a dress that revealed her summer tan lines.
While she looked great, not everybody approved of it in the comments.
In a recent interview, Cunningham revealed that she might’ve received backlash for her outfit, but it was actually her own mother who picked it out for her.
“I was just talking to someone, and I was like, ‘Actually my mom picked that outfit out,’” Cunningham said, via Fox News Digital. “Everyone’s all in my comments about, ‘Oh, your parents –‘ and I’m like, actually, that was my mom’s doing. But, no, I had no idea.”
Sophie Cunningham added that she loves that WNBA players’ pregame outfits generate so much attention.
“I do think it’s super cool that people are interested in what we do off the court now. Our tunnel fits have been a fashion show, and people are so excited and intrigued about what we’re going to wear.”
The Mercury clinched their 14th playoff appearance in the last 16 seasons with a win over the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday night.
That means we can get ready to see even better outfits in the postseason.
In the meantime, she is averaging 8.2 points and 4.1 rebounds per game, per her stats on ESPN.
Sophie Cunningham Has Many Admirers And Doesn’t Appear To Be In A Relationship
Sophie Cunningham is very much a bachelorette.
Cunningham is not married. The talented shooting guard for the Phoenix Mercury does not appear to be dating anyone publicly.
If she is, she has kept her romantic life extremely private.
The last time she spoke about having a boyfriend was back in 2020 when she dated Jakob Neidig, a footballer and basketball player.
Sophie Cunningham has no mention of any details about having a boyfriend or husband, but that all may change soon if she continues showing off how gorgeous she is.
