He nailed all but one of his 10 3-pointers and finished with 40 points, seven rebounds, and five assists in a game that Los Angeles won by a score of twelve points. Los Angeles improved to 42-33 on the season with the victory.

Los Angeles overcame the Nets to break Brooklyn’s three-game winning streak. In addition, it was the Lakers’ eighth victory in their previous ten games.

Despite being older, at least by NBA standards, James has been the Lakers’ offensive spark plug in his 21st NBA season.

In terms of assists per game and points per game, he leads the team; Anthony Davis is only 24.7 points per game behind him. D’Angelo Russell is the only other Lakers player who has averaged more over six assists per game during the 2023–24 regular season.

Among all players in the league, James is averaging the 13th-most points and the sixth-highest assists per game.
