Josh Allen looks on and the 49ers sideline with an arrow.

The San Francisco 49ers were clicking on all cylinders against the New York Jets on Monday Night Football, and they did it while Josh Allen was on the sidelines. Wait, what?

During Monday Night Football inside Levi’s Stadium, there was a quarterback named Allen spotted on the sidelines dressed in the 49ers jersey.

Many believed that it was Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen since the person’s last name was Allen, and he was also rocking his jersey number.

In reality, this was veteran quarterback Brandon Allen, the backup QB to Brock Purdy.

Kyle Shanahan revealed this week that Brandon Allen would back up Brock Purdy, and Josh Dobbs would be the No. 3 quarterback behind them.

This came as a shock to everyone since Dobbs looked like the better quarterback in the preseason.

The actual Josh Allen was at Highmark Stadium on Sunday, helping his team defeat the Arizona Cardinals 34-28.

The Buffalo Bills opened the season with a comeback win at home over the Cardinals.

Josh Allen completed 18-of-23 pass attempts for 232 yards and two touchdowns, per his stats on ESPN.

Josh Allen Injures Non-Throwing Hand During Leap In Week One

The Buffalo Bills and their fans were scared to death in regards to news for quarterback Josh Allen, who is dealing with a hand injury suffered during their Week 1 game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Allen injured his hand halfway through the fourth quarter when he jumped into the air and landed on his non-throwing hand.

He gave positive news about the injury after the game, saying he was “fine,” and his head coach then confirmed that.

Josh Allen explained the injury after the game.

“The first rushing touchdown, I kind of lowered the shoulder, knowing that was a corner,” Allen said. “Second time, I knew it was Budda, and Budda’s a good player, and he’ll lay the boom on you, so I decided to go up and over, but probably can’t make a living doing that, but here we are.”
