Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign, who together form ¥$, have dropped a new music video ahead of their collaboration album Vultures

Kanye and Kim Kardashian’s daughter, North West, features in the music video, performing her first rap verse, which initially debuted at a Vultures listening party last year.

In the song, North raps, “It’s your bestie, miss miss Westie. Don’t try to test me. It’s gonna get messy. It’s gonna get messy. Just, just bless me.”

In the video, she is getting her hair done with Kanye by her side in some of the shots.

The first volume of the album is set to be released on 9 February, with the other parts coming on 8 March and 5 April.

The original release date for the record was 12 January. Kanye has previously delayed the release date of many of his other albums, like Donda.

The roll-out of Vultures has been marred by controversy due to Kanye’s antisemitic remarks, which caused him to be dropped from Gap and Adidas, according to The Daily Beast.

The aesthetic of the roll-out has been accused of flirting with white supremacy, most notably the visual references to the black metal band Burzum.

Burzum’s frontman, Varg Vikernes, is a neo-Nazi and convicted killer, according to Vulture. The cover of Kanye’s new album has the same font as Filosofem by Burzum and he has been seen wearing one of their band t-shirts.

The rapper has previously apologised to the Jewish community for his anti-Semitic comments, according to AFP.

“I sincerely apologise to the Jewish community for any unintended outburst caused by my words or actions. It was not my intention to hurt or disrespect, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused,” he said in a statement.

“I am committed to starting with myself and learning from this experience to ensure greater sensitivity and understanding in the future,” he continued.
