Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce has finally addressed the rumors that he is in a relationship with pop sensation Taylor Swift. The NFL tight end has remained quiet on the reports but has since broken his silence in an interview with American sports analyst Pat McAfee.

Both Kelce and Swift have reportedly been hanging out in recent weeks, which has broken the internet in the process. Rumors began when the 33-year-old attended Swift’s concert at the Chiefs’ Arrowhead Stadium back in July.

Kelce later admitted that he unsuccessfully tried to meet the singer and give her his number. Fuel was then added to the fire earlier in the week when Travis’ brother Jason claimed that the rumors are “100 percent true” and that “things are going great.”

However, Travis has now set the record straight while appearing on the Pat McAfee Show. The two-time Super Bowl champion was asked directly whether he could comment on the recent rumors.

When asked directly for the first time and asked to clarify reports, Kelce said “we’ll see what happens in the near future” and kept his cards close to his chest.

“It’s hilarious how much traction this has actually got,” Kelce admitted. “Right now, it’s like an old game in school called ‘Telephone’ where everybody is whispering in each other’s ears and hearing random stuff and no one actually knows what’s going on.

“Especially when you’ve got Jason Kelce on live television telling people just both sides, he doesn’t know, ‘it’s true’, it’s this and that. He goes on Thursday Night Football and gets a big W and gets asked about it by my guy Tony Gonzalez because his daughter had to know.

“The first thing he brings up is the ‘Catching Kelce’, I thought everybody got rid of that. And then not even a week later, he tells everybody that it’s ‘100 percent true’. I mean, the guy is absolutely ridiculous, he can’t stay out of headlines. Everybody thinks he is the Ian Rapoport of my dating relationships, please everybody, stop asking my brother about my love life.”

McAfee went on to ask Kelce if he is growing frustrated at the speculation surrounding the relationship. “It’s life, baby,” Kelce replied.

“I threw it out there, I threw the ball in her court and I told her ‘I’ve seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead, you might have to come see my rock the stage in Arrowhead and see which one is a little more lit’. We’ll see what happens in the near future.”

Kelce will be hoping that his new comments won’t distract him ahead of the Chief’s next game against the Chicago Bears this Sunday.
