Travis Kelce sparks injury fears as NFL fans spot cut and battered hands following Chiefs vs Dolphins cold weather game

Travis Kelce’s 71-yard performance against the Miami Dolphins may have left its mark on his hands

TRAVIS Kelce has sparked injury concerns among fans following his latest podcast appearance.

Appearing alongside his brother, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end appeared on the New Heights podcast with what appeared to be cuts covering his right hand.

A screenshot showing his hand immediately made its way to X, formerly known as Twitter, where fans speculated as to their source.

“Looks like he got stepped on by a cleat,” suggested one fan.

A second asked, “What the heck happened there? It looks like he stuck it in a cheese grater.”

As a third responded, “Football definitely. Being tackled on a frozen field will do that.”Best online casino bonuses and sign up offers in the US right now revealed

While another said, “If you watch the video from the locker room when Andy Reid is congratulating them on the win, you can see him in the background flexing that hand. It was obviously hurting.”

In the clip in question from after the Chiefs’ 26-7 wild card win against the Miami Dolphins, Kelce could be seen rubbing his hand and grimacing in apparent discomfort behind head coach Reid.

It would hardly be surprising if the frigid temperatures had played a role in an injury to Kelce’s hand – if that were the case – given that the wind chill reached -30 degrees.

And as Kelce explained during the podcast, the field was, “100-percent rock hard.”

He later added, “You knew it was going to be hard when you hit the ground.”

But thankfully it seems Chiefs fans needn’t worry.

Kelce has not appeared on the injury report this week, ahead of the AFC Divisional Round Game against the Buffalo Bills at Arrowhead Stadium.

The Super Bowl hopefuls will face off at 6:30pm ET on Sunday, January 21.

Unfortunately, it seems it could end up being another cold game for Kelce and Co. with the forecast predicting highs of 32 and lows of 28, as per Weather.com.
