Good Morning Football host Kyle Brandt sparked controversy with a rant about Taylor Swift ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills playoff game.

The pop icon, known for supporting her boyfriend Travis Kelce at NFL games, has faced criticism from fans and analysts who associate her presence with the Chiefs‘ losses.

In the lead-up to the Chiefs vs. Bills matchup, Brandt suggested Swift might have more in common with Bills quarterback Josh Allen than Kelce, citing statistical differences in Kelce‘s performance between the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

Brandt’s remarks

Kelce had fewer touchdowns, receiving yards, and receptions in 2023 compared to the previous year. Brandt also drew parallels between Swift’s fan base, Swifties, and the Bills Mafia, describing both as “alarmingly loyal masses who will rally fiercely.”

“Frankly, I think Taylor Swift has shown up to more Chiefs games than Travis Kelce,” Brandt told ‘Good Morning Football’.

“Taylor Swift has more in common with Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills. [They] have loyal friends who are beloved fearless icons and who always have their backs [and both had their] moment of triumph taken from them, but it made them bigger, and it made them stronger.”

The rant fueled discussions about superstitions and fan dynamics in sports, with some finding Brandt’s comments cringe-worthy while others engaged in the ongoing debate about Swift’s impact on Chiefs‘ games.
