“Nobody parties better than Jason Kelce.”

Those were Travis Kelce‘s words on the New Heights Podcast as he and his older brother recapped the celebrations following the Kansas City Chiefs‘ epic overtime Super Bowl LVIII victory in Las Vegas. But the tight end was not prepared to hear the disturbing backstory of how Jason found his legendary prop: a Chiefs luchador mask.

Travis and Jason were the life of the party long into the night in the Sin City. They were captured in videos posted to social media dancing, stumbling out of bars and living in their own separate worlds, as Travis danced the night away with girlfriend Taylor Swift and Jason lost his mind on stage next to Marshmello.

According to Jason, the whole energy of the night changed when he found the mask as they left the first stop of their victory lap on the Vegas Strip.

“It didn’t start getting to that next level until I found that luchador mask… there’s something about finding that luchador mask that transformed the night,” Jason shared on the chart-topping podcast.

He went from not wanting to go on stage and take away from Travis’ celebratory moment, to, in his words, a “complete neanderthal no longer connected with modern day society.”

“It was electric having my big brother around,” Travis said with joy as they relived the night.

However, the one part that the three-time Super Bowl champion couldn’t get on board with was the unsanitary way that Jason acquired the mask: he picked up the trampled mask off the floor.

“Did you at least give it a quick rinse under the sink?” asked Travis in shock when Jason revealed his wild move.

“You see a luchador mask, you don’t ask questions,” Jason replied, confirming he didn’t wash the mask before becoming the MVP of the after party.

“I for sure thought I was getting pink eye.”
