Flavor Flav has been bestowed the ultimate Swiftie title: “King Swiftie!”
The Public Enemy member, 64, talked on the NFL Honors red carpet about getting that crown from Taylor Swift fans — and revealed what he talked to Swift herself about at the 2024 Grammys this past Sunday.
The rapper told reporters that he finally “got to get some Taylor time” at the awards show after attending her Eras Tour show last year. “The discussion [at the event] was about me congratulating her on all her success. And me being a big fan of hers, a big supporter of hers.”
“Having her acknowledge that her fan base ‘Swifties’ gave me a name, ‘King Swiftie,’” added the rapper.
“I said, ‘You know they call me King Swiftie?’ She said, ‘I know!’” recalled the rapper. “Yo, when I heard her say that, that was huge for me.”
In mid-January, during an interview within a new interview with HOT 97’s Ebro in the Morning, Flavor Flav first declared he was “King Swiftie.”
“Yes, I am a Swiftie,” Flavor Flav said. “Not only that, but I got a new name now: ‘King Swiftie.’ ”
He also revealed that his favorite track of the Lover singer’s is “Bad Blood.”
“I mean, that’s [about] everybody’s relationships, or everybody’s families, or everybody’s friendships, it’s like, you know, ‘I used to be good friends, now you did something to me, now we got bad blood, look what you’ve done!’ ” he explained.

The pair first met at the iHeartRadio Awards in March 2023. “Before I met Taylor Swift, I’ve always been a big fan of her music anyway, though,” Flav said of their first encounter.
After the duo met in the spring, the rapper was spotted at multiple shows of the Eras tour. He first attended the Detroit show in early June and then headed to the show again in Los Angeles at SoFi Stadium in August.

The “Bring the Noise” artist continued to show support for her into the fall by stepping out to attend the premiere of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour.
He even wore official merchandise from the “Cruel Summer” artist at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in November. At the event, he rocked the 1989 (Taylor’s Version)-themed cardigan and explained to PEOPLE in a red carpet interview that he’s always impressed by how “every lyric that she spits out relates to life.”
