Christina Aguilera has revealed what went on behind the scenes while filming her new opera-inspired Menulog advertisement.

The high-budget ad, which was released Down Under in October, features the pop starlet and American rapper Latto performing a duet inspired by Menulog’s jingle Did Somebody Say.

During the clip, Christina, 42, and Latto, 24, are seen wearing dramatic opera-themed costumes as they waltz through a palace interior while a gaggle of servants cater to their every whim.

Speaking to Today host Sarah Abo this weekend, Christina admitted it was physically challenging to perform in her costume.

‘My dress weighed a zillion pounds. I had to have like, four people help me just to carry it around,’ the Fighter hitmaker revealed during a backstage interview at her Melbourne show on Saturday night.

The six-time Grammy winner only had positive things to say about her co-star Latto, who performed a rap about Menulog while Christina sang operatic notes behind her.

‘Latto was amazing. She was great energy to work with. So fun, we laughed the entire time,’ she mused.

Christina has gone to great lengths to promote her Australian sponsor Menulog, having sported a bespoke handbag inspired by the delivery app ahead of her flight to Australia last week.
