Pop star Christina Aguilera is breaking her silence on “The Woman In Me,” the bombshell memoir by Britney Spears.

Although she is getting ready for her own Las Vegas Residency, the “Genie In A Bottle” singer took the time to answer questions about “The Woman In Me” in a recent appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”

Christina Aguilera Reveals What She Knows About Britney Spears’ Memoir

On Monday night, the “Hurt” singer appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” to talk about music and her upcoming Las Vegas Residency. While she was there, the “Beautiful” singer was also asked if Britney ever reached out to her to discuss her memoir.

“Dude, I don’t know. I don’t know,” she replied. Although the Grammy-award-winning singer grew up with the “Toxic” singer on “The Mickey Mouse Club,” it appears that the two have been out of touch for a while.

“I’m hoping that everything is all good with her. Everything’s beautiful,” she said, adding, “The future should be celebrated.”

Still, host Jimmy Kimmel wasn’t about to let her off so easily and pressed, “If you had to choose between being in it and not being in it?” Christina asked, “I mean, for real? For real?”

“I would like to be in it,” Jimmy confessed, to which Christina responded, “Maybe you will be in it. Listen, I’d rather it be you than me.”

Although the two have had an on-and-off feud throughout the years, she had nothing but positive things to say about the pop star in a January 2022 appearance on “The Enrique Santos Show.”

“I couldn’t be happier for her. Every woman deserves to feel empowered and to own that for themselves, however they see fit,” she said at the time.

Britney’s controversial 13-year conservatorship lasted from February 2008 to November 2021. The same month her conservatorship was struck down by a judge, Britney took to her Instagram Stories to share a clip of the “Candyman” singer. When Christina was asked whether or not she had any contact with Britney during her conservatorship, she replied, “I can’t, but I’m happy for her.”

As per ET, Britney posted the clip to an Instagram Story at the time. “I love and adore everyone who supported me … But refusing to speak when you know the truth, is equivalent to a lie!!!!! 13 years being in a corrupt abusive system yet why is it such a hard topic for people to talk about??? I’m the one who went through it!!!! All the supporters who spoke up and supported me, thank you … Yes, I do matter!!!!!” the “Stronger” singer wrote at the time.

Britney Spears’ longtime friend Paris Hilton has also spoken out about “The Woman In Me.” The “Stars Are Blind” singer spoke to People magazine about Britney’s memoir while promoting her new “Be An Icon” kitchen and home collection with Wal-Mart.

Paris said that she is “so proud” of the “Overprotected” singer for “telling her story.”

“I know how hard it can be doing a memoir because you have to really dive in and think about so many moments in your life that I’m sure you don’t even want to think about,” she said. “But it is truly such a healing experience, and writing my book has changed my life in so many ways.

“So I’m really hoping that she feels the same way with this,” she continued, adding, “I am just proud of what a strong woman she is.”

In addition to Paris Hilton, actress Michelle Williams also released a short statement saying, “I stand with Britney” after People announced that the five-time Oscar nominee was tapped to narrate the audiobook version of Britney’s memoir. Although the “Baby One More Time” singer will read the introduction, the “Fablemans” actress will narrate the rest of the book.

“This book has been a labor of love and all the emotions that come with it,” Britney told the publication in a short statement. “Reliving everything has been exciting, heart-wrenching, and emotional, to say the least. For those reasons, I will only be reading a small part of my audiobook.”

“I am so grateful to the amazing Michelle Williams for reading the rest of it,” she added.

“The Woman In Me” is scheduled for release on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.
