Travis Kelce is a big fan of Abbott Elementary — and he can’t believe his brother got to appear in the season 3 premiere.

On Wednesday’s episode of New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, the brothers chatted about Jason and his Philadelphia Eagles teammates’ cameo in the hit ABC sitcom.

“I love that show, man. It’s one of my favorites. I just started binge-watching the first season,” Travis, 34, revealed, before Jason, 36, called the show “great” as he gave a “shout-out” to its creator and star, Quinta Brunson.

“I love what this show represents. And anything that shines light on public schools and the Philadelphia school system is pretty special,” the Eagles center said. “And Quinta does a fantastic job, as does the whole crew over there at Abbott Elementary, so it was an honor that they asked us to be a part of it for sure.”

In the brief cameo, Jason, Brandon Graham and Jalen Hurts appeared via video conference on career day. The scene starts with the Eagles quarterback before Jason and Graham pop in “later in the show to tell Jalen he’s late for practice,” Travis explained.

“Abbott Elementary takes place in Philly, for those of you that don’t know, so fans have been hoping for some Eagles guest appearances,” the Chiefs tight end said, to which Jason replied, “That’s right.”

Travis then shared his jealousy at his brother’s second TV cameo — Jason also appeared on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia in 2018 — as he quipped, “Goddamnit… you’re on the coolest Philadelphia show. Why can’t Kansas City have a show?”The cameo was “super easy,” Jason said, as he “didn’t have many lines so that made it nice and easy.”

Travis Kelce Started Binge-Watching Abbott Elementary Ahead of Brother Jason’s Cameo in Season 3 Premiere: ‘A Lot of Stuff You Can Relate to’

“Was it as fun as Always Sunny?” Travis then posed to his brother, to which Jason admitted that his cameo on the long-running FXX comedy was “in person” so he got to “see the set, how everything was done, so that was probably a more fun experience.”

Regardless, Travis gave a shout-out to Abbott Elementary as he encouraged listeners to watch it. “I guarantee you’ll f—— like it. A lot of stuff you can relate to if you went to public school,” he said, adding that “the dynamic between the teachers is the best. I love it.”

In their cameo, Jalen, 25, surprised students and teachers on Zoom during the school’s career day, prompting Principal Ava (Janelle James) to whip out her usual inappropriate humor. “The world’s finest starting quarterback is here,” she quipped.

In the next scene, the Eagles quarterback teased Janine (Brunson) about her height when she ran into the room. “Hey, little girl,” he said to Janine. “Look at you all dressed up for career day.”

Later in the episode, Kelce and Graham, 35, showed up to tell Hurts he is late for practice, after the quarterback’s Hail Mary attempt at setting up a marriage proposal involving Melissa Schemmenti (Lisa Ann Walter) went awry.

“Dude, what’s happening?” Jason then asked.
