Taylor Swift has further stoked Australian interstate rivalry after revealing the ‘cutest’ thing about her Sydney audience during her recent Eras tour.

Between songs on Friday night, the pop megastar, 34, claimed that the way the local crowd chanted her name appealed to her.

‘You pronounce my name cuter than everyone else in the world. You know the way to my heart, I love you Sydney,’ she said, sending her fans in Accor Stadium wild.

Taylor made similar pronouncements during her Melbourne shows earlier this month, calling the Victorian capital the ‘love of my life.’

She told the crowd at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG): ‘Some stadium girl math for you … 96,000 people the first night, 96,000 people the second night. 96,000 people tonight.’

‘Those are all the biggest shows I’ve ever played on a tour and you did it three times,’ she added.

‘The math is that it’s 288,000 people in three nights, Melbourne. You are the love of my life.’

Melbourne returned the love by giving Swift a minute-long ovation.

‘That’s unforgettable for me, I’ll never forget it,’ declared an emotional Swift.

The American pop superstar completed the final of her four gigs at Accor stadium on Monday night.

She sent off the crowd with some very warm words, leaving the audience cheering in delight.

‘Looking at this crowd, the biggest crowd we’ve had at our four shows here!’ she told her fans.

Swift’s next heads to Singapore in early March, then onto the European leg of the tour.
