The Kansas City Chiefs saw a 34% increase in fans this season in large part thanks to tight end Travis Kelce’s romance with Taylor Swift alongside the team’s run to a second consecutive Super Bowl title.

Swift and Kelce began publicly dating at a September 24 Chiefs game against the Bears, with the pop singer attending 13 of Kansas City’s games this season, including all four playoff wins.

The additional 2.9million followers on Instagram, TikTok, X, and Threads for the team from September 7 to February 14 was the largest-such gain for an NFL franchise over that span by more than 1.2million followers.

The Chiefs’ four official accounts jumped from a combined 8.5million to 11.4million in a little more than five months.

Kansas City saw an increase of 1,151,695 followers from January 24 to February 14 alone. During that time frame was the Chiefs’ AFC Championship victory over the Ravens and the Super Bowl.
