The Kansas City Chiefs have launched an emergency response fund to support victims of the Super Bowl parade shooting.

As Kansas City tries to recover from the mass shooting that saw its Super Bowl celebrations descend into chaos Wednesday, the Chiefs have finally made a move to support their community.

The franchise announced Friday that it had set up ‘Kansas City Strong’ with the Hunt family and the NFL supporting the cause with an initial $200,000 donation to kickstart the fundraiser.

The fund comes after Taylor Swift, the girlfriend of Chefs tight end Travis Kelce, made a touching donation of $100,000 to the grieving family of the Kansas City radio DJ shot dead.

The popstar, who wasn’t at the rally Wednesday after jetting in to Australia for the next leg of her Eras Tour, made two $50,000 donations to the GoFundMe page set up for Lisa Lopez-Galvan’s family.

‘Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences in the wake of your devastating loss. With love, Taylor Swift,’ read the message accompanying the gift.

Lopez-Galvan, 44, was killed when two juvenile gunmen opened fire in the crowd in a ‘personal dispute’ that escalated.

Two teenagers have been charged as juveniles in the Kansas City Chiefs parade shooting, despite a prosecutor previously saying they would be accused as adults.

The suspects, who remain unidentified by authorities, are charged with gun-related offenses and resisting arrest, said The Jackson County Family Court division.

Lopez-Galvan, a mother-of-two was killed and 22 people were injured by gunfire, when shots erupted amid the throng of fans gathered at a rally outside Union Station after a parade through the city. Police Chief Stacey Graves said Thursday that victims ranged from ages 8 to 47, with half under 16.

While the Chiefs have finally taken action, there has been no sign of a donation from Swift’s beau Kelce.

The tight end has come under fire since the shooting after deciding to continue partying while injured children were treated in hospital for gunshot wounds.

After tweeting that he was ‘heartbroken’ by the violence on Wednesday, the 34-year-old posed for selfies with cops on his way inside the Granfalloon Bar and Grill before making his way inside.

Travis, who was too drunk to speak at the parade, decided to carry on the celebrations after the shooting with a ‘scaled back’ party at a local restaurant.

He stopped for a selfie with the cops who were running security at the event before making his way inside.

The party had been arranged by the team after the Super Bowl win, but many players decided to stay at home after the tragic shooting.

Kelce was not one of them.

He carried on the celebrations with some teammates and their partners, posing with Patrick Mahomes’ girlfriend Brittany in a photo obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com.

He is yet to respond to criticism of his continued celebrations.

Swift made a panicked phone call in the early hours of the morning to Kelce after she was left ‘shaken up’ by the horror shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs parade, just hours after she touched down in Australia.

The pop superstar was on the phone to the tight end at around 6am Melbourne time, just minutes after gunfire broke out on the west side of Union Station at 1:48 pm local time on Wednesday.

She then called her new friend Brittany Mahomes, whose husband Patrick is Travis’ teammate, with the pair taking comfort in one another after the incident which claimed one life.

‘Taylor was extremely worried when she heard of the shooting, as expected,’ a source exclusively told DailyMail.com. ‘She got on the phone with Travis right away and was so incredibly relieved to hear his voice.
